MEC115   Design and Manufacturing   (10 credits)

Description

The module provides an introduction to the methods and practice of engineering design. The students gain experience of the design process through the design, build and testing of a device that fulfils a specified function. Provision is made for development of `hands-on' manufacturing skills. Understanding customer needs, marketing, and enterprise is also covered.
